Production for Black Snake
I predict that the book Black Snake will be about Ned Kelly’s life and how he robbed banks and how he murdered people. He only did this because their family is poor. His mum and his baby sister is in jail because a drunken police man shot at Ned Kelly at their house and his mum was blamed for it. I recon he is a hero because all he is trying to do is to is save his mum.
Reflection for Black Snake
I found Black Snake a very good book. I can’t believe that Ned Kelly got over 32,000 signatures to save his life. If I was to give the book a rating out of ten, I would give it a 10 because it was based on a true story, CW mixed up the story with good and evil and I think she should make more books a bit like that but about a different character.
Book Report
‘Ned Kelly was a thief, a bank robber and a murderer. He was in trouble with the law from the age of 12. He stole hundreds of horses and cattle. He robbed two banks and he killed three men.’
Ned was a normal boy in his early years, and even saved a boys life. He loved horses but came from a poor family, so theft became part of his life.
He was only young when he first went to jail for receiving a stolen horse.
Ned became the leader of the Kelly gang. The other three members were Dan Kelly, Steve Hart and Joe Byrne. They formed their gang and were forced to become outlaws after an incident with Constable Fitzpatrick, a policeman who had come to arrest Dan Kelly.
The gang rode into the forest so the police wouldn’t find them. The police sent out search parties to hunt the Kelly’s down. The Kelly’s were getting low on weapons, so they raided one of the search parties who were camped out at Stringy Bark Creek. On Ned Kelly’s signal the gang emerged from the bush and demanded their weapons . McIntyre surrendered but later managed to escape but Constables Kennedy, Lonigan and Scanlon didn’t. Ned Kelly and the gang were now wanted for murder.
Ned and the gang remain outlaws, and rewards are offered for their capture.
They go on to rob two banks. The only people that the gang ever harmed were the police, never the towns people. They always looked after them and made sure they were comfortable and even gave or bought them things.
The gangs last daring plan was to derail the train that was carrying police who were on their way to capture the Kelly gang. It did not go as planned and the police found out what was going to happen. They stopped the train in time and went on to where the Kelly’s were hiding. The Kelly gang just found out that the police were on there way to kill them. So the gang got on their armour and prepared for the big battle. There was a big shoot out. Eventually Ned Kelly fell to the ground with 27 wounds in his body. Joe Byrne died because he got shot in inn.
Then Steve and Dan died because they shot them selves and because the police set the inn on fire. And eventually Ned Kelly was hanged because of all of his crimes and murder. I think this is a really good book. I would give this book a 9/10.
