I think the boys softball team played a really great game against Pascoe Vale South. We figured out new rules from last week and used them to our advantage. The scores were 11 to 1 in our favour. The highlights of the game was Lace’s backstop, Jarm’s pitching and everybody’s teamwork. I would like to thank Mr M for coaching us
Yesterday the boys softball team played in a round robin grand final at Mill park. the difficulty was insane. At Mill park there are heaps of softball diamonds. The teams that we played were above our standard but we did well since that we got into regional’s. We lost both games. I don’t remember the scores but it was very close. The main game highlights for both games were Etha’s second base, and everyone’s motivation. I would like to thank Mr M for getting us this far, and my mum and Miss P for being there.
Today the boys softball team played a nerve racking and exciting game against St Bernard’s Primary school. Some of the highlights of the game were Jarm’s pitching, Laces backstop and Etha’s big hits. Even though Jarm was pitching with a wet ball, he did really well. I would like to congratulate our boys for getting another win, and staying undefeated. I would like to thank Mr M for coaching us.
Today the boys softball team played a easy and quick game against Coburg. We were having trouble from the first 2 batsman, Jacb and Jarm. but Lace came in and cleared the pressure. The scores in the end were 5-1 in our favor. Some of the match highlights were Etha’s good hit, Lace’s throws, and everyone’s teamwork . I would like to thank Mr M for coaching us and everyone’s support.
This Friday it was the first week of softball for the boys teaballm. It was a close and exciting game. the scores were 5-3 in our favor. Some of the highlights was Jarms pitching, Laces backstop and catch, and everybody’s teamwork. I would like to thank Mr M for coaching us and the girls softball team for cheering us on.
For Graduation we are performing 2 songs. one called Not The End which is about moving on and the next song is called I wont give up, and jugging by title, it is about not giving up. Our teacher is Mrs D. I think that we are making progress, but it does need more time to practice. I think that I wont give up is better. I can even play the song on guitar.
I think this was about winter and how Anne Bell was describing it like breakfast. How the sun looked like honey and a knife cutting into the snow. I think this was a really good poem.
On Saturday I went to my step mums friends birthday party. It was really fun. It was in the country side near Beechworth. I played some soccer and hide and seek. I even got to play with a real adult band!!! There band was called the Pearls. I was playing the E major blues. I was having a blast when I fell over a couple of times. I even got hit by a horse shoe near the mouth. I slept in a Motel overnight. It was the best Motel I have ever been in. It is probably because it was the first Motel I have ever been to. I hope I can go back there sometime.
Yesterday it was athletics day. I think our school was very successful. We came 3rd place out of 11, and we won the Jay Stacy award for most improved school. My events were high jump and triple jump. I didn’t get into the top three for any of my events. I came 4th. I think I did really well considering I was up against boys twice my height. In triple jump I think I had the biggest jump, but obviously I didn’t. The girls relay team, K.C and Daic won their races. In the end our school ended up with a total of 128 points. It was a very fun day. I would like to thank the students for participating and the teachers for taking us to the athletics track.
For this year’s camp the grade 56s went to Waratah Bay. It was one of the best camps I have been to. The bus drive took 3 hours. When we got there we unloaded all of the luggage and put it against the walls. Then a staff member of Camp Waratah showed us our cabins. She told us all the rules.
The first night we walked down to the Rock pools and caught some crabs as well as other things. When we got back we had a disco. All the teachers were dressed up in funny costumes. That was a long night.
The next day we did a lot of activities. The activities we did were the giant swing, an obstacle course, river swing, rock climbing, photo hunt and volleyball. My favourite one was probably the giant. I went to the top height. When you went down, it felt like you had no insides.
The last day it was raining. We were going to fly a kite. Instead, we played some fun activities inside. Such as ten pin bowling, a game were you needed to keep the ball up in the air, soccer dribbling and this activity where you had to throw a table tennis ball into a cup.
I enjoyed Camp a lot.
